The sudden blast of the ship’s guns
Smash the silence, before the dawn
Take heart, brave defender
Lest ye be overrun, before too long

Outnumbered, out matched, out gunned
Yet bravely the men fought on
Given hours, taking days
Under the shelling of the guns

-Chorus-
Defenders, defenders
Awaiting death both night and day
Defenders, defenders
For every step we’ll make them pay

Anticipation and preparation
The men were not caught unaware
The enemy marches in killing fields
Pull tighter on the snare

-Chorus-

Outnumbered, out matched, out gunned
Yet bravely the men fought on
Given hours, taking days
Under the shelling of the guns
Fire, fear and hunger
Not yet stay our hands
No help is on its way
Yet here we make our stand

No help is coming, no relief is on the way
Do we stand and fight? Or live to see another day.
We stand alone, with nowhere left to run
We stand alone!

-Chorus-
