Greetings from the Kingdom!
Over the past few months as we’ve been out and about, one of the main questions we’ve been getting is: what’s happening with IRON KINGDOM?
Lets take the time to put this question to bed. Over this past year we have devoted the time we would’ve spent touring and playing shows on the foundations of the band. We’ve rebuilt our website, to make it more of a complete platform that enables us to post our own blogs, host our own content, and are less reliant on other platforms. We’ve recently re-designed our rehearsal space, adding recording equipment, which facilitates our ability to record new demos and, eventually, a full-length studio release. Incidentally the writing of new material is coming along quite well and we’re excited to see how it progresses, and to ultimately share it with all of our amazing fans (That’s you!)
On a sadder note it has come time to announce that we have parted ways with Kenny and Joey. We wish them both well in their future endeavors. This means we are officially seeking a new drummer and guitarist. While it’s always sad to say goodbye to a brother-in-arms, especially as Kenny has been with us pretty much since the beginning, the split was mutual and we’re looking forward to what new blood can offer. Despite the change in lineup, the heart of IRON KINGDOM remains intact.
Let’s get into the nitty gritty, here’s what we’re looking for in the new members:
Requirements: 1 – No criminal record (Criminal Records interfere with work Visas) 2 – A desire to tour 3 – Available to rehearse
Assets: 1 – Owning your own equipment 2 – Tour experience 3 – Valid drivers license 4 – Ages 19 – 35 (21+ is preferred) 5 – Long Hair, Denim, Studs and Leather 6 – Professional attitude and a friendly personality 7 – Strong work ethic 8 – Personal Transportation
Although it sounds as if we are only half a band, we are currently working with our original drummer Amanda Osterman, and long time friend of the band Brad Wengranowski, on a short term basis. This is to keep us active and show ready as we seek out newer more permanent members.
If you or someone you know is interested in trying out for either position, you may contact us directly through our website or by email: iron_kingdom@hotmail.com
On a much sadder note we recently received news that our Super fan Josie from Montreal has regrettably passed away. Over the years Josie’s enthusiasm and love for our music has been an uplifting and affirmative force for us. The conversations we have shared with her have kept us going through difficult times, and we’re honoured that our music helped her through her battle with cancer.
Josie Vincent
Montreal will never be the same without her. Thank you for keeping the faith until the very end Josie, we shall honour your memory as a fallen sister. We will always,
Keep the Faith, IRON KINGDOM
