There and Back Again

The past two weeks have been a truly inspiring and uplifting experience. Now we are home and had a second to relax from the insanity of the Road, it’s time to put it all down into words.

Edmonton had to have been one of the hottest stages I’ve ever played! We were all sweating before we even started playing. It was a great turnout and all the bands kicked ass.  We have played Edmonton 4 or 5 times in the past but for sure this was the best show yet! Thanks for everyone who came and hung out with us in that sweatbox

The next night we drove down the Medicine Hat to play with W.M.D at Olie’s Alehouse. We have tried to play with them in the past but the timing has never quite worked out before. It was great to finally get a chance to rip a stage with them! Playing the Hat is always a great time for us because it means we get to see a lot of old friends, some we met on our very first tour! It was our good friend Vanan in Medicine Hat that put us up for a couple days after our accident in 2015. It was great to see everyone and get a chance to hang out once again.

Calgary was next on the list and despite a venue and date change people packed into The Blind Beggar for Sunday night Metal madness! Big thanks to Sloan and all the bands for playing with us and making the show happen! It was a killer crowd, good sized stage and an overall wicked night.

Last stop of the tour was Munnin’s Post in Kelowna. 38 degree weather had the place sweltering inside and out but that didn’t stop the great metalheads in the Okanagan from turning out. We were just shy of capacity which is pretty awesome for a balmy Monday night. Sharing the stage with Empyria and Arkenfire is always a treat and neither disappointed! I can’t express how much we love both Kelowna and Munnin’s Post!

But like all great things, the tour had to come to an end. It was an almost surreal walk down memory lane, the kind we will all cherish forever. Thank you to everyone who gave us a stage to play on, shared a stage with us, or just came to rock out and say hi! It’s your continued support that allows us to carry on, in the words of a friend, bringing the good metal to the good people! Our next show will be opening up for Angra at the Rickshaw in Vancouver in September! We are looking forward to it and hope to see lots of familiar faces there, Angra rips!

Keep the Faith,

Leighton Holmes
